Diese ÖNORM enthält Anforderungen sowie Regeln für die Verwendung und Verarbeitung von Putzmörteln gemäß ÖNORMEN B 3344, B 3345, EN 998-1 oder EN 13279-1 und EN 15824, die als Innen- und Außenputze bei Wänden und Decken Verwendung finden. Die Verfahrens- und Vertragsbestimmungen für die Ausführung von Putzarbeiten sind in der ÖNORM B 2210 geregelt. Die Verarbeitung von Brandschutz-, Akustik- und Sonder-Putzmörteln (wie z. B. Lehmputz), von vorgefertigten Elementen (z. B. Gipsplatten), Außenwand-Wärmedämm-Verbundsystemen sowie die Behandlung von Oberflächen mit Glätt- und Ausgleichsmassen, mit Beschichtungen, Anstrichen u. dgl. sind nicht Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM.
