Diese ÖNORM regelt die Planung und Ausführung sowie die Nutzung, Wartung und Prüfung der ständigen Sicherheitsausstattung für die spätere Nutzung, Wartung und Instandhaltung von Dächern. Die vorliegende ÖNORM enthält Festlegungen zur Planung von temporären Maßnahmen. Weiters enthält diese ÖNORM in einem informativen Anhang eine mögliche Klassifizierung von Dachflächen hinsichtlich der Sicherheitsausstattung in Abhängigkeit von der Nutzung und den Personengruppen. Diese ÖNORM gilt nicht für Sicherungsmaßnahmen bei Bauarbeiten im engeren Sinne.
