Diese ÖNORM legt auf Grund der speziellen geografischen, topografischen und klimatischen Verhältnisse, die in Österreich herrschen, nationale Anforderungen an Asphaltbeton entsprechend der ÖNORM EN 13108-1, ÖNORM EN 13108-20 und ÖNORM EN 13108-21 fest. Die vorliegende ÖNORM ist gemeinsam mit diesen ÖNORMEN anzuwenden. Um die Belastungssituation in Österreich abdecken zu können, werden verschiedene Mischguttypen, bezogen auf Mischgutzusammensetzung und Anforderungen an die Gesteinskörnungen, definiert. Diese ÖNORM setzt die empirischen Anforderungen der ÖNORM EN 13108-1 um.
