Diese ÖNORM regelt Verglasungen, die punktförmig oder punkt- und linienförmig gelagert sind. Sie gilt auch für Verglasungen die zur planmäßigen Aussteifung herangezogen werden. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Ganzglastüren, Duschtüren bzw. Ganzglasanlagen (Türen mit Seitenteilen und Oberlichten). Die Verglasungen werden nach ihren Neigungswinkel zur Vertikalen eingeteilt in: - Horizontalverglasung: Neigungswinkel größer 15° - Vertikalverglasung: Neigungswinkel mindestens 15°. Für absturzsichernde Verglasungen ist zusätzlich ÖNORM B 3716-3 und für befahr- oder betretbare Verglasungen zusätzlich ÖNORM B 3716-4 zu beachten.
