Diese ÖNORM enthält Bestimmungen über die Ausführung, Prüfung und Kennzeichnung von Dachbodenabschlüssen aus güteüberwachter Fertigung in Form von Abschlüssen für Einstiegsluken. Die Feuerwiderstandsklassen EI2 30, EI2 60 und EI2 90 sind als Nachfolgeklassen der früheren Brandwiderstandsklassen T 30 (brandhemmend), T 60 (hochbrandhemmend) und T 90 (brandbeständig) anzusehen. Ausgenommen von dieser ÖNORM sind Brandschutztüren gemäß ÖNORM B 3850, Brandschutztore gemäß ÖNORM B 3852, Abschlüsse für Aufzüge (Fahrschachttüren) gemäß ÖNORM B 2450, Strahlenschutztüren gemäß ÖNORM S 5210 sowie Abschlüsse für Schutzräume. Die ÖNORM regelt keine Anforderungen an die Tragfähigkeit von Dachbodenabschlüssen.
