Diese ÖNORM ist für alle Gerüste anzuwenden. Sie gilt für sämtliche Gerüste hinsichtlich ihrer Aufstellung und Verwendung. Hinsichtlich der Leistungsanforderungen sowie Verfahren für Entwurf, Konstruktion und Bemessung/Prüfung gelten die einschlägigen Normen, insbesondere für Fassadengerüste aus vorgefertigten Bauteilen die ÖNORM EN 12810, Arbeitsgerüste die ÖNORM EN 12811, Traggerüste die ÖNORM EN 12812, Stützentürme aus vorgefertigten Bauteilen die ÖNORM EN 12813, verfahrbare Standgerüste (fahrbare Arbeitsbühnen) aus vorgefertigten Bauteilen die ÖNORM EN 1004, temporäre Seitenschutzsysteme die ÖNORM EN 13374, Baustützen aus Stahl die ÖNORM EN 1065, Baustützen aus Aluminium die ÖNORM EN 16031, Einhausungskonstruktionen die ÖNORM EN 16508. Sonderkonsolgerüste wie bei Schornsteinen und ähnlichen Bauwerken sind nicht Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM. Zuschaueranlagen sind in der ÖNORM EN 13200 geregelt.
