In dieser ÖNORM werden die in Bezug auf Brückenlager geltenden besonderen Anforderungen an das Bauwerk und das Lager hinsichtlich Transport, Zwischenlagerung, Einbau, Inspektion, Instandhaltung und Auswechslung festgelegt. In diesem Dokument werden die Protokolle für den Lageneinbau und die Nullmessung geregelt. Weiters werden Anforderungen an die Qualifikation der Lagerfachkraft festgelegt. Diese ÖNORM ist für alle mit Lagern gemäß ÖNORM B 4021:2019, Tabelle 1 ausgerüstete Eisenbahn-, Straßen- und Fußgängerbrücken des öffentlichen Verkehrs. Betongelenke und ähnliche Konstruktionen im Hochbau sowie ausschließlich in Bauzuständen verwendete Lager sind nicht Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM.
