Diese ÖNORM ist für die Herstellung, den Nachweis der Tragfähigkeit, die Prüfung sowie die Bezeichnung von längenverstellbaren Sprengern aus Stahl anzuwenden. Sprenger im Sinne dieser ÖNORM sind lose Bauteile, die entsprechend ihrer Tragfähigkeit systemunabhängig in Grabenverbauten eingesetzt werden. Diese Bauteile unterscheiden sich somit von den bauähnlichen Streben in Grabenverbaugeräten. Diese werden gemäß ÖNORM EN 13331-1 Grabenverbaugeräte - Teil 1: Produktfestlegungen und ÖNORM EN 13331-2 Grabenverbaugeräte - Teil 2: Nachweis durch Berechnung oder Prüfung geregelt.
