Diese ÖNORM ist für die Prüfung des fertig aufgebrachten Oberflächenschutzes von Leitungs- und Anlagenteilen der Wasserversorgung und Abwasserbeseitigung bzw.-reinigung unter Bezug auf die Trägerwerkstoffe im Sinne der ÖNORMEN B 5013-1 und -2 anzuwenden. Bei anderen Trägerwerkstoffen können die Bestimmungen der ÖNORM B 5013-4 sinngemäß angewendet werden. Von der Prüfung ausgenommen ist der Oberflächenschutz von Maschinen, Maschinenteilen und Stahlbauten und der Oberflächenschutz von Rohren und Behältern, der nur dem temporären Schutz für Lagerung und Transport dient.
