Dieses Dokument legt allgemeine Anforderungen sowie Prüfmethoden und Konformitätskriterien für fest verlegte Aufstiegshilfen aus faserverstärkten thermoplastischen Kunststoffen (im Folgenden żSteigbügelż genannt) fest, die als Ein- und Aufstiegshilfe in Schächten und anderen tragenden Wänden begehbarer Bauwerke zur Anwendung kommen. Dieses Dokument legt die Leistungskriterien für die mechanische Stabilität und Festigkeit zum Schutz vor Abstürzen fest. Es enthält die entsprechenden Prüfmethoden und die Grundlagen für eine Konformitätsbewertung auf Übereinstimmung des Produktes mit den festgelegten Anforderungen. Empfohlene Konformitätskriterien für eine Fremdüberwachung sind in Anhang C dargestellt.
