Diese ÖNORM ist anzuwenden für Brennstoffe, deren biogener Volumenanteil mindestens 3% beträgt. Sie legt Anforderungen und Grenzwerte zusammen mit den zur Prüfung dieser Eigenschaften anzuwendenden Prüfverfahren für flüssige Brennstoffe mit biogenen Komponenten fest, die insbesondere für Ölfeuerungsanlagen gemäß ÖNORM EN 303-1, ÖNORM EN 303-2 und ÖNORM EN 303-4 sowie gemäß ÖNORM EN 267 geeignet sind. In Abgrenzung zur ÖNORM C 1109 sind in dieser ÖNORM Brennstoffe spezifiziert, die neben mineralölstämmigen Komponenten auch Komponenten biogener Herkunft enthalten, wie z. B. Fettsäuremethylester (FAME) nach ÖNORM EN 14214.
