Diese ÖNORM beschreibt die Prüfung von plattenförmigen Erzeugnissen zur Bestimmung des Trennwiderstandes (T) zwischen vulkanisierten Elastomeren oder zwischen vulkanisierten Elastomeren und Textillagen. Derartige Verbundkörper kommen z. B. in Riemen, Fördergurten und Reifenkarkassen vor. Diese Prüfung ist nicht für ring- und schlauchförmige Erzeugnisse anzuwenden. Jene Erzeugnisse sind nach ÖNORM EN ISO 8033 zu prüfen. Die Prüfung gemäß dieser ÖNORM ist in den Fällen anwendbar, in denen die zu trennenden Lagen (Schichten) eine annähernd ebene Oberfläche haben. Für Lagen, deren Oberflächen sehr scharfe Biegungen, Winkel oder grobe Formunregelmäßigkeiten haben, ist diese Prüfung nicht geeignet.
