Diese ÖNORM legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für elektrische automatische Steuerzentralen (SRZ) fest, die in Sauerstoffreduktionsanlagen in Gebäuden eingesetzt werden. Diese ÖNORM legt verbindliche Funktionen, die an alle SRZ vorzusehen sind, und wählbare Funktionen (Optionen mit Anforderungen), die vorgesehen werden dürfen, fest. Zusätzliche Funktionen, die in Verbindung mit Sauerstoffreduzierung stehen, können vorgesehen werden. Sie werden aber in dieser ÖNORM nicht behandelt. Sauerstoffreduktionssysteme werden in ÖNORM F 3007 geregelt. Instandhaltungsvorgaben sind neben ÖNORM EN 16750 auch in ÖNORM F 3073 enthalten.
