Sie ist für Anlagen, die mit flüssigen und gasförmigen Brenn- und Kraftstoffen sowie für feste Brennstoffe anzuwenden. Die in dieser ÖNORM beschriebene Überprüfung dient zur Ermittlung der ordnungsgemäßen Funktion der Abgasverluste sowie der Emissionen von Kohlenstoffmonoxid, der Stickoxide und zusätzlich bei flüssigen Brennstoffen zur Ermittlung der Rußzahl.
