Diese ÖNORM legt Anforderungen an das Kompetenz- und Qualifikationsmanagement der Einrichtungen des Gesundheitswesens von bereits in der Organisation vorhandenen Mitarbeitern fest (exklusive Einschulungen von neuen Mitarbeitern). Dabei werden Anforderungen an das Prozessmanagement der Organisation, von der Bedarfsfeststellung für die erforderlichen Kompetenzen und Qualifikationen über die Bereitstellung der Schulungs- und Trainingsmaßnahmen und der Prüfung der Wirksamkeit dieser Maßnahmen bis zur Feststellung des Requalifikationsbedarfs, festgelegt. Die Integration neuer Mitarbeiter ist in ÖNORM K 1915-1 geregelt.
