Dieses Dokument gilt für technische Vegetationstragschichten (z. B. Parkanlagen, Rasenflächen, Straßenbegleitgrün). Es legt Anforderungen an die Herstellung und Zusammensetzung von technischen Vegetationstragschichten sowie an den Untergrund fest. Nicht Gegenstand dieses Dokument sind: ż die Errichtung und Pflege von Sportrasenflächen; hierfür gilt die ÖNORM B 2606-1; ż die Begrünung von Dächern und Decken auf Bauwerken sowie Anforderungen an die Planung, Ausführung und Erhaltung von Dachbegrünungen; dies ist in der ÖNORM B 1131 geregelt; ż land- und forstwirtschaftlich genutzte Flächen; ż Substrate für Anwendungen mit besonderen Standortanforderungen (z. B Baumpflanzsubstrate, Infiltrationssubstrate).
