Diese ÖNORM enthält Festlegungen über Gewindeausläufe und Gewindefreistiche für Teile mit metrischem ISO-Gewinde nach ÖNORM M 1501. Sie ist für alle normgerechten Teile anzuwenden, soweit in den entsprechenden Normen auf diese ÖNORM hingewiesen wird. Im Bedarfsfall sind die angegebenen Kurzzeichen zu verwenden. Es wird empfoh-len, diese ÖNORM auch für nicht genormte Teile mit metrischem ISO-Gewinde nach ÖNORM M 1501 zu verwenden. Für Gewindeausläufe und Gewindefreistiche für zylindrische Rohrgewinde nach ÖNORM EN ISO 228-1 ist ÖNORM M 1803 anzuwenden. Für Gewindeausläufe und Gewindefreistiche für Trapez-, Sägen- und Rundgewinde sowie andere Gewinde mit grober Steigung ist die DIN 76-3 anzuwenden.
