Diese ÖNORM ist auf Anlagen anzuwenden, die zur Desinfektion oder sonstigen Aufbereitung von Wasser (zB Trinkwasser, Nutzwasser, Abwasser) mit Ozon dienen oder die als Oxidationsstufe bei der Badewasseraufbereitung eingesetzt werden. Diese ÖNORM ist auf Ozonerzeugungsanlagen anwendbar, die nach dem Prinzip der stillen elektrischen Entladung arbeiten. Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM sind Ozonerzeugungsanlagen, die mit getrockneter Luft arbeiten, nicht jedoch solche Ozonerzeugungsanlagen, die mit Sauerstoff oder mit Sauerstoff angereicherter Luft betrieben werden.
