Diese ÖNORM beschreibt die Bestimmung der Summe von Calcium- und Magnesium-Ionen in Grundwasser, Oberflächenwasser und Trinkwasser. Die Methode ist nicht für Abwasser und Wasser mit hohem Salzgehalt, wie Meerwasser, geeignet. Die kleinste Calcium- und Magnesium-Konzentration, die gemessen werden kann, beträgt 0,05 mmol/l. Der Anwendungsbereich kann durch Verwendung eines geeigneten Probenvolumens für die Titration erweitert werden.
