Diese ÖNORM beschreibt eine Methode für die Bestimmung von Kalium und Natrium mittels Flammen-Atomabsorptions-Spektrometrie (AAS). Sie ist für Trinkwasser und Rohwasser im Konzentrationsbereich von 5 mg/l bis 50 mg/l anwendbar. Der Anwendungsbereich kann durch Wahl anderer Probenvolumina in beiden Richtungen erweitert werden. ÖNORM M 6603-2 enthält die in ISO 9964-3 beschriebene Methode zur Bestimmung von Kalium und Natrium mittels Flammen-Emissions-Spektrometrie.
