Diese ÖNORM beschreibt eine spektrophotometrische Methode zur Bestimmung von Borat in Wasser. Die Methode ist für die Bestimmung von Borat in Konzentrationen zwischen 0,01 mg/l und 1 mg/l geeignet. Die Obergrenze des Konzentrationsbereiches kann durch Verdünnen erhöht werden. Die Methode ist für Trinkwasser und wenig verunreinigtes Grundwasser, Oberflächenwasser und Salzwasser geeignet. Diese ÖNORM enthält auch Hinweise auf Störungen der Bestimmung und deren Beseitigung sowie Vorsichtsmaßnahmen im Labor bei Analysen im niedrigen Konzentrationsbereich.
