In dieser ÖNORM werden zwei Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Fluorid beschrieben, die direkte Messung mit fluoridselektiver Elektrode und die Messung nach Aufschluß und Destillation: die Auswahl richtet sich nach der Fragestellung. Das direkte Verfahren ist anwendbar auf Trink- und Oberflächenwasser mit einer Konzentration an gelöstem Fluorid von etwa 0,2 mg/l bis 2000mg/l. Nach Konzentrationsanhebung können auch niedrigere Konzentrationen bis ungefähr 0,02 mg/l bestimmt werden. Das Verfahren nach Aufschluß und Destillation ist anwendbar auf anorganisch hoch belastete Abwässer mit einer Fluorid-Ionenkonzentration über 0,2 mg/l.
