Diese ÖNORM enthält Benennungen und Definitionen, Anforderungen sowie Bestimmungen über die Kenn-zeichnung und die Prüfungen von mechanisch betätigten Abgasklappen für Gasgeräte (im Folgenden Abgasklappen genannt), die als eigener Bauteil geprüft und zugelassen sind. Die Abgasklappen sind bestimmt zum Einbau in Verbindungsstücke von Gasgeräten mit Gebläsebrennern oder mit atmosphärischen Brennern. Die Abgasklappen können bei Anlagen mit Brennern ohne Gebläse vor oder hinter der Strömungssicherung eingebaut werden.
