Die vorliegende ÖNORM ist für die Prüfung der Handfertigkeit und der Fachkenntnisse von Schweißern (Installateur-Rohrschweißern) anzuwenden, die Handschweißungen an Niederdruck-Gasleitungen für Hausanschlussleitungen und Innenleitungen bis zu einem maximalen Betriebsdruck von 100 mbar und einer Wanddicke von maximal 4,5 mm ausführen. Sie sind für den Transport der von den Gasversorgungsunternehmen (GVU) für die öffentliche Versorgung über Rohrnetze abgegebenen brennbaren Gase vorgesehen. Diese ÖNORM bezieht sich nur auf den Schweißprozess 311 "Gasschmelzschweißen mit Sauerstoff-Azetylen-Flamme" gemäß ÖNORM EN ISO 4063. Einschlägige Prüfungsbescheinigungen nach ÖNORM EN ISO 9606-1 schließen die Berechtigung nach der vorliegenden ÖNORM mit ein.
