Diese Norm ist auf die Bestimmung und Klassifizierung des Brennverhaltens von Bettenaufbauten - bestehend aus Matratze, Matratzenüberzug (Matratzenauflage), Leintuch, Polster mit Überzug und Bettdecke mit Überzug - anzuwenden. Die Bettdecke kann als Webdecke oder Steppdecke ausgeführt sein. Bei Bedarf kann auch ein Durchzug und eine Betteinlage eingesetzt werden. Auf Grund der Prüfung gemäß dieser ÖNORM wird eine brandschutztechnische Klassifizierung von Bettenaufbauten vorgenommen.
