Diese ÖNORM ist für Türen und Tore (im Folgenden nur Türen genannt) bis 20 mm Bleieinlage oder für Türen mit entsprechendem Bleigleichwert zum Schutz gegen Röntgen-, Gamma- und Elektronenstrahlung anzu-wenden. Sie enthält Anforderungen an Strahlenschutztüren für medizinisch genutzte Räume sowie Angaben über deren Herstellung und Montage. Weitere Funktionen der Strahlenschutztüren, zB Schall- und Wärmeschutz, sind nicht Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM. Türen zum Schutz gegen andere ionisierende Strahlen, wie Neutronen- und Protonenstrahlen, sind Sonderkonstruktionen und werden ebenfalls in dieser ÖNORM nicht behandelt.
