Diese ÖNORM enthält Regeln für Strahlenschutzprüfungen hinsichtlich des Umganges mit umschlossenen radioaktiven Stoffen und zielt vor allem auf die Vereinheitlichung solcher Prüfungen ab. Sie ist anzuwenden auf Erstprüfungen und wiederkehrende Prüfungen von Anlagen für den Umgang gemäß §§ 6 und/oder 7 als auch bei sonstigem Umgang gemäß § 10 des Strahlenschutzgesetzes. Strahlenschutzprüfungen dienen der Beurteilung, ob in dem betreffenden Betrieb die bescheidmäßigen Auflagen und gesetzlichen Vorschriften eingehalten werden.
