In dieser ÖNORM wird eine Vorgangsweise für die Bestimmung der durch Radionuklide im Trinkwasser verursachten Gesamtdosis - die durch Ingestion der jährlichen Konsumationsmenge von Trinkwasser bewirkte effektive Dosis einschießlich der Beiträge der langlebigen Radonfolgeprodukte Pb-210 und Po-210, jedoch ohne Berücksichtigung der Beiträge von Tritium und Kalium 40 - und deren Bewertung im Hinblick auf die Einhaltung eines Richtwertes festgelegt. Die Vorgangsweise ist prinzipiell für alle Wässer anwendbar, die für die Ingestion in einer Konsumationsmenge ähnlich der von Trinkwasser vorgesehen sind.
