Diese ÖNORM ist anzuwenden für beidseitig besteigbare Sprossenstehleitern für den besonderen beruflichen Gebrauch, welche Grundsätzlich den Bestimmungen der ÖNORM EN 131-1 und ÖNORM EN 131-2 entsprechen. Durch die Gestaltung der zwei Abstände der obersten drei Sprossen beider Leiterteile berücksichtigt sie die ergonomischen Bedürfnisse bestimmter Berufsgruppen, zB Maler und Tapezierer, bei arbeitsbedingten Verweilen auf den Standsprossen, wodurch eine erhöhte Sicherheit für den Benutzer erreicht wird.
