Sie ist nicht anzuwenden für gewendelte Stiegen, die in speziellen Normen festgelegt sind und in besonderen Anwendungsbereichen Verwendung finden, wie z. B. beim Gerüstbau, oder wenn hiefür aufgrund gesetzlicher Bestimmungen andere Festlegungen getroffen worden sind (z. B. Schiffbau, Flugwesen).
