Die vorliegende Europäische Norm legt zwei Verfahren der Vorbereitung von Stahlproben zur Bestimmung des Sauerstoffgehaltes fest. Beide Verfahren sind für die Probenvorbereitung zur Sauerstoffbestimmung - insbesondere bei Sauerstoffgehalten < 0,0050% - geeignet. Diese Norm gilt für Stähle mit einer Härte unter 400 HBW 10/3000.
