Die vorliegende Norm gilt für hitzebeständigen Stahlguß für allgemeine Verwendung (kein Druck) oberhalb 660 °C. Sie gilt auch für Nickel- und Cobaltbasislegierungen. Diese Norm gilt für aus ferritischen, austenitisch-ferritischen und austenitischen Stählen sowie aus Nickel- und Cobaltbasislegierungen hergestellte Gußstücke (gekennzeichnet durch ihre chemische Zusammensetzung [siehe Tabelle 1] und mechanischen Eigenschaften [siehe Tabelle 2]). In Fällen, in denen Gußstücke vom Gießer zusammengeschweißt werden, gilt diese Norm ebenfalls.
