Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an die Sicherheit sowie Bau- und Funktionsanforderungen an handbetätigte und voreingestellte Einstellgeräte fest, die für die Verwendung mit Gasgeräten sowie gleichwertige Verwendungszwecke vorgesehen sind und im Folgenden als żEinstellgeräteż bezeichnet werden. Dieses Dokument gilt für Einstellgeräte mit Nenn-Anschlussmaßen bis einschließlich DN 50, für die ein maximaler Eingangsdruck bis einschließlich 50 kPa (500 mbar) festgelegt ist und die für den Einsatz mit einem oder mehreren Brenngasen nach EN 437 vorgesehen sind. Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar auf: a) handbetätigte Absperrarmaturen nach EN 331; b) Regel- und Steuergeräte, die Hilfsenergie nutzen (z. B. von außen zugeführte elektrische Energie); c) eine Bewertung der Regeleinrichtung in Bezug auf Performance Level (PL) und Sicherheits-Integritätslevel (SIL).
