Branderkennungselemente sind wärmeempfindliche Geräte einschließlich einer Einbauvorrichtung, die bei einer vorgegebenen Temperatur durch Platzen eines Glasfässchens oder durch Schmelzen eines Schmelzlötelements ansprechen. Diese ÖNORM sollte für die Prüfung von Branderkennungselementen, die nach anderen Prinzipien arbeiten, nur als Anleitung verwendet werden.
