Für metallische Einwegflaschen sind Anforderungen bezüglich Werkstoff, Gestalt , Bau und Ausführung sowie Herstellungsverfahren und Prüfungen bei der Herstellung festgelegt. Die Festlegungen gelten für nahtlose, geschweißte oder gelötete Gasflaschen zur Aufnahme von verdichteten, verflüssigten oder unter Druck gelösten Gasen bei Raumtemperatur. Angaben für die Kennzeichnung sind enthalten. Diese Norm ist nicht anzuwenden für Kartuschen bzw. Aerosolspender und für Kugelbehälter.
