Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an einstufige und mehrstufige Kreiselpumpen mit mechanischer Dichtung oder Weichstoffdichtung für den Einsatz in automatischen Sprinkleranlagen fest und ist für die Verwendung mit EN 12845 und EN 17451 bestimmt. Dieses Dokument ist für die folgenden Pumpen anwendbar, unabhängig von der Einbauausrichtung (vertikal, horizontal oder geneigt, je nach Herstellerangabe): - Pumpen mit axialem Eintritt (Blockausführung oder Grundplattenausführung) der Pumpe in Prozessbauweise; - längs geteilte Axial-Gehäusepumpen; - Gliederpumpen inklusive mehrstufige Pumpen mit einem oder mehreren Ausgängen; - ein- oder mehrstufige Reihenpumpen (Pumpe mit Einlass und Auslass in Reihe); - Motortauchpumpen. Dieses Dokument ist auch anwendbar für vertikale Turbinenpumpen.
