Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Schälwiderstandes der Fügenähte zwischen zwei benachbarten Dachabdichtungsbahnen fest, die aus dem gleichen Kunststoff oder Elastomer bestehen. Dieses Prüfverfahren wird im Wesentlichen zur Prüfung der Fügenähte von Dachabdichtungsbahnen aus Kunststoff oder Elastomer angewendet. Der Schälwiderstand kennzeichnet die optimale Festigkeit der Fügenaht, die für eine Abdichtungsbahn unter Laborbedingungen mit einem Fügeverfahren erreicht werden kann. Auf Dächern könnte die Festigkeit der Fügenaht aufgrund suboptimaler Bedingungen (z. B. Druck, Temperatur, Feuchtigkeit, Verschmutzung, Ausführung der Arbeit) deutlich verringert sein. Das auf der Baustelle angewendete Fügeverfahren muss sicherstellen, dass die Fügenaht dicht ist.
