Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren für die Bestimmung des Scherwiderstandes einer Fügenaht zwischen zwei angrenzenden Bitumen-Dachdichtungsbahnen gleichen Typs fest. Dieses Verfahren wird in hauptsächlich angewandt für die Prüfung von Fügenähten in mechanisch befestigten oder mit Auflast versehenen einlagigen Dachabdichtungsbahnen aus Bitumen. Die Schereigenschaften einer Fügenaht zwischen zwei Bitumen-Dachdichtungsbahnen hängen entscheidend vom Verfahren der Nahtverbindung (Schweißen mit offener Flamme oder Warmgas, Heißkleben z. B. mit Bitumen, Kaltkleben usw.), von der Größe der Überdeckung und von der Verarbeitung ab.
