Sie umfasst Antriebseinheiten, Umkehren, Fördererrinnen, Kettenbänder, Kettenspann- und -festsetzvorrichtungen. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Streckenfördererzubehör, für Kettenkratzerförderer, die einen Teil von Mineralbunkersystemen darstellen oder als Feinkohleförderer eingesetzt werden, für Vorschubsysteme und Führungen, die von Gewinnungsmaschinen verwendet werden, für kabellose Fernsteuerungen, für druckluftbetriebene Maschinen oder für die Schnittstellen zwischen den Fördererelementen und anderen Maschinenanlagen. Kettenkratzerförderer sind nur für den Transport von Mineralien und Gestein ausgelegt.
