Diese ÖNORM legt die Leistungskriterien für Autoklaven fest, die für die Abtötung und Verhinderung der Freisetzung von Mikroorganismen bei biotechnischen Prozessen verwendet werden. Die Leistung wird vom Hersteller und/oder Anwender eingestuft und verifiziert. Neben der Beladung des Autoklaven umfaßt diese Einstufung alle bei dem Prozeß entstehenden Produkte, wie zB Abgase oder flüssiges Kondensat. Diese ÖNORM ist anzuwenden, wenn die vorgesehene Anwendung des Autoklaven den Gebrauch gefährlicher oder potentiell gefährlicher Mikroorganismen einschließt.
