Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Ausbreitmaßes von Frischbeton fest. Die Prüfung gilt nicht für selbstverdichtenden Beton, Schaumbeton, Beton ohne Feinkorn oder für Beton mit einem Nennwert D der gröbsten im Beton verwendeten Gesteinskörnung (Dmax) von größer als 63 mm. Der Ausbreitversuch ist geeignet für Änderungen der Konsistenz von Beton, die einem Ausbreitmaß zwischen 340 mm und 620 mm entsprechen. Über diese Extremwerte hinaus kann die Messung des Ausbreitmaßes ungeeignet sein, und es sollten andere Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Konsistenz in Erwägung gezogen werden.
