Diese Europäische Norm legt die Zusammensetzung, die Anforderungen an die Eigenschaften, Grenzabmaße und Formtoleranzen für nahtlose, runde Kapillarrohre aus Kupfer fest, die als Messleitung für Flüssigkeiten oder Gase verwendet werden, wobei eine enge Kontrolle der Oberflächenbeschaffenheit und der Maße der Bohrung gefordert wird, um eine gleichmäßige Durchflusscharakteristik zu gewährleisten. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Kapillarrohre in geraden Längen oder in Ringen mit Außendurchmesser des Rohres bis 6,10 mm und Innendurchmesser von 0,30 mm bis 4,45 mm, die für Durchflussbegrenzer vorgesehen sind. Der Ablauf der Probenentnahme und die Prüfverfahren zur Feststellung der Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen dieser Europäischen Norm sind ebenfalls festgelegt.
