Diese ÖNORM legt Leistungskriterien für Pumpen fest, die bei biotechnischen Verfahren eingesetzt werden, bei denen die Freisetzung von Mikroorganismen aus Sicherheitsgründen zu begrenzen oder zu verhindern ist. Sie gilt für Pumpen ohne Hilfseinrichtungen, wobei die Anschlüsse die Grenze des Gerätes darstellen, sowie für Pumpensysteme mit allen erforderlichen Hilfseinrichtungen - wie Ventile, Sonden, Filter, Kondensatabscheider -, die für den Betrieb von Pumpen und zur Durchführung der Reinigung und Sterilisation notwendig sind.
