Diese Norm legt Anforderungen an Industrienähgarne aus Chemiefasern fest. Sie bezieht sich auf Industrienähgarne, die aus den folgenden Faserstoffen und Faserstoffkombinationen hergestellt werden: a) Polyesterfilamente; b) Spinnfasern aus Polyester; c) lüftdüsentexturiertes Polyester; d) falschdraht-texturiertes Polyester; e) Polyester-/Baumwoll-Core-spun, Polyesterfilament-Seele, Baumwollumspinnung; f) Polyester-/Baumwoll-Core-spun, Polyesterfilament-Seele, Polyesterfaserumspinnung; g) Polyamid-6.6-Filamente; h) falschdraht-texturiertes Polyamid-6.6; i) Filamente und Spinnfasern aus Aramid; j) Polyesterfilamente, Polyesterspinnfasern und Polyamid-6.6-Filamentlitzen für Hand-/Maschinensticken. Die Festlegungen für Industrienähgarne beruhen auf der Reißkraft im Verhältnis zur Fadenstärke. Für Garne, die in der Konfektion verwendet werden, wurden die Anforderungen an Farbechtheit und Kochschrumpf festgelegt.
