Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an Rohre, Formstücke und das Rohrleitungssystem für Abwasserkanäle und -leitungen aus Polyethylen (PE) fest, die in erdverlegten Schwerkraftentwässerungssystemen - außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen "U") sowie - innerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen "D") und außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur eingesetzt werden. Die Wahl des Anwendungsgebietes wird durch die Kennzeichnung "U" bzw. "UD" der Rohrleitungsteile angezeigt. Sie legt auch die Prüfparameter für die Prüfverfahren fest, auf die in dieser Europäischen Norm verwiesen wird. Diese Europäische Norm enthält Festlegungen für Nennweiten, Rohrserien sowie Steifigkeitsklassen und gibt Empfehlungen für die Auswahl der Einfärbung von Rohrleitungsteilen.
