Diese Norm legt die sicherheitstechnischen und umweltrelevanten Anforderungen an Kältemittel-Verdrängerverdichter für ortsfeste und ortsveränderliche Kälteanlagen und Wärmepumpen fest. Das Ziel ist, Gefahren für Personen, Eigentum und die Umwelt zu minimieren. Diese Norm gilt für alle fabriksmäßig hergestellten Verdichter, ausgenommen hermetische und halbhermetische Verdichter, und umfaßt die Auslegung, Konstruktion und Herstellung von Verdichtern sowie technische Anforderungen an Einbau, Betrieb, Wartung und Demontage der Verdichter.
