Dieses Dokument legt Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Rohdichte (hohlraumfreie Masse) von Asphalt fest. Es legt ein volumetrisches, ein hydrostatisches und ein mathematisches Verfahren fest. Die beschriebenen Prüfverfahren sind zur Anwendung auf unverdichteten Asphalt bestimmt, der Straßenbaubitumen, modifizierte Bindemittel oder sonstige bitumenhaltige Bindemittel für Asphalte enthält. Die Prüfungen sind sowohl für frisch hergestellten als auch für gealterten Asphalt geeignet. Die Proben dürfen als lockerer oder als verdichteter Asphalt angeliefert werden; es wird empfohlen verdichteten Asphalt vor der Prüfung zu zerlegen.
