Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung von polychlorierten Terphenylen (PCT) und polychlorierten Benzyltoluolen (PCBT) in Mineralölprodukten und verwandten Stoffgemischen durch ein standardisiertes gaschromatographisches Trennverfahren fest. Unter Einhaltung der vorgeschriebenen gaschromatographischen Trennung werden die unterschiedlichen Quantifizierungsmethoden auf der Basis von PCT Aroclor 5442 und PCT Aroclor 5460 sowie für PCBT auf der Basis von Ugilec 141 beschrieben. Diese Norm ist anwendbar auf frische, gebrauchte und behandelte (z.B. dechlorierte) Mineralölerzeugnisse einschließlich synthetischer Schmieröle und auf Mineralölerzeugnisse und synthetische Schmieröle, die mit geeigneten Verfahren aus anderen Materialien, wie z.B. aus Abfallprodukten zurückgewonnen wurden, sowie auf Gemische aus Pflanzenölen.
