Dieses Dokument legt Maße, Probenahmeverfahren und Vorbereitung der Proben sowie die Durchführungsbestimmungen für den Zugversuch fest, um den Kurzzeitzug-Schweißfaktor zu bestimmen. Ein Zugversuch kann in Verbindung mit anderen Prüfungen (z. B. Biegeversuch, Zeitstand-Zugversuch, makroskopische Prüfung) angewendet werden, um das Betriebsverhalten von Schweißverbindungen aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen zu beurteilen. Der Zugversuch ist unabhängig vom angewendeten Schweißverfahren anwendbar auf geschweißte Halbzeuge, die aus gefüllten oder ungefüllten, nicht aber aus verstärkten thermoplastischen Kunststoffen bestehen.
