Dieses Dokument legt die Maße, das Verfahren für die Probenahme und die Herstellung von Probekörpern sowie die Bedingungen für die Durchführung des Zugversuchs an Probekörpern mit Rundkerbe fest, um den energiebezogenen Kurzzeitzug-Schweißfaktor zu bestimmen. Ein Zugversuch an Probekörpern mit Rundkerbe kann in Verbindung mit weiteren Prüfungen durchgeführt werden (z. B. Biegeversuch, Zugversuch, Zeitstand-Zugversuch, makroskopische Untersuchungen usw.), um die Gebrauchstauglichkeit von geschweißten Fügeteilen aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen zu beurteilen. Die Prüfung ist auf koaxiale oder in einer Ebene liegende Heizelementstumpfschweißverbindungen aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen mit oder ohne Füllstoff, die jedoch nicht verstärkt sind, anwendbar. Die Prüfung ist bei Rohrverbindungen mit einem äußeren Nenndurchmesser kleiner 90 mm nicht anwendbar.
